I've decided to dive deeper into the Notion rabbit hole.

It costs $20 a month, or $240 a year, to maintain my current setup, and that’s with discounts. As I use Notion more frequently, I'm considering enabling the AI feature as well. It becomes even more helpful when you've consolidated most of your workflow within Notion itself.

We'll see if this decision sticks. Months ago, I told myself I wouldn't renew the AI portions, yet here I am with it enabled again, planning to reassess in May. I'm hesitant because I already know how to make the most out of AI, and Notion's AI is arguably subpar if you know how to create your own. However, like their Sites feature, this is essentially a product of convenience, and Notion is incredibly convenient with both these features enabled.

Their Q&A features have improved nicely. I'm particularly pleased that they've added the ability to scope your queries—exactly what I wanted when I first tried it. I also saw a nice “diff” when requesting for edits, and that’s also an improvement since the last time (back then, it’d only append contents and either ask to replace or not)

With some effort, I might be able to make Notion's AI and sites worthwhile by replacing multiple existing services with their database capabilities and AI features. If it saves me time, effort, and subscription costs, it could be worth it. Using the API and my own APIs, I can also integrate them with my own work to further enhance what I have.

We'll see how this plays out.
