August 14, 2017 - It's been ages!

Woah, it’s been ages since the last update! I haven’t blogged for a while now.

Persona 5

I’ve had a blast playing Persona 5. It was so darn good that I ended up clocking around 250+ hours in New Game+ and doing all of the fun stuff in Persona 5 that I can think of doing: maxing out all confidants, getting that special V-day event, completing the compendium, kicking the reaper’s ass repeatedly in hard without cheesy builds (took ages to finish!), an invincible Yoshitsune build, earning 10M Yen, and so many other things that I’ve forgotten at this point.

Oh and it’s so good that I made that Confidant theme that got a bit too popular a few months ago. That was my first time on KLWP and I’m glad a lot of people loved it. I’m looking forward to make my next theme, but alas, work is forever cruel and my time is oh so limited.

Kiseki Series

Thanks to Persona 5, I wasn’t able to play Trails in the Sky the 3rd when it came out. Heck, the awesome people at XSeed managed to produce a fantastic PC port of Cold Steel 1 and I still wasn’t able to fully commit to playing the 3rd.

That’s changing now – I’m finally at Chapter 5 in the game and am looking forward to finish the game in the next few weeks. After that, I’m going to crunch through the rest of my backlog.

I’m looking at you, NieR: Automata.

Other Stuff

Life’s quite difficult lately, less time, more work and with rewards coming in with diminishing returns. No wonder my other peers have decided to take a huge leap at their lives either career-wise or in matters social and personal – either investing in themselves with even higher education or jumping towards a career abroad.

I’m personally inclined to the latter one as I have a hell of a lot of technical experience nowadays. It’s just a matter of me being sick of the current status quo (it’s getting there) and if I can bear with it or not.

Quarter life crisis, as they say

Oh and finally, congrats to Team Liquid for winning the International. I was shocked because I was seriously expecting a Chinese final seeing their stellar upper bracket performance and especially with LFY, but damn, Liquid just rocked the ladder so darn well they won the prize. Those guys are fantastic.
